I saw the Eagles on this tour, two nights in a row and loved every second of both of those shows. I remember they had Joe Vitale doubling on drums and keyboards.

The Long One was their last until Froze Over. It was if only a couple months had passed and they went back to their roots. We still miss Hotel & Long Run as the ROCK of American music.

    Totally, he was the …
Totally, he was the Chief guitarist of the Eagles, I mean look at the Acoustic Version of Hotel California, he came up with the intros and solos at the end all by himself in one night, that is crazy!!

    When Don did the …
When Don did the counter guitar solos to Glenn Frey’s awful slide playing on Smuggler’s Blues on the 1994/95 tour, he did it way better than Frey on the original and kicked Frey’s and didn’t choke on the solo. To me Felder was The Eagles’ Eric Clapton/David Gilmour as far as guitar work goes. The six tracks Felder did write for The Eagles were all superb (this, Too Many Hands and Victim of Love are my favorites)

    Agreed, despite …
Agreed, despite being called a by Glenn because he was nervous about singing lead vocals live. Don is the premier guitarist in the band, and without him and his best buddy Bernie Leadon there really isn’t anything spectacular about the band Instrumentally. I mean Joe is great, but he’s not like he used to be in his drinking days when him and Don dueled on everything, his playing is much more subdued and boring…and he hardly does ANYTHING exciting under the fingers of Henley and Frey

    Randy sang Take It …
Randy sang Take It To The Limit as if it were his last show every night on the One Of These Nights and Hotel California tours. When Don Felder got canned it was like someone removed the balls from the group. Long Road Out of Eden was a bland album.
